- Marijuana Guidance
- The General Assembly has legalized possession of up to one ounce of marijuana and the growing of up to four cannabis plants for personal use (effective July 1). EMGs may receive questions about growing marijuana.
- Marijuana is still a federally controlled substance and VCE receives federal funds. Therefore, VCE will not provide any programming or information about growing or producing marijuana at this time.
- If you are asked about marijuana production while volunteering as an EMG, please respond that you are unable to provide information due to marijuana still being listed as a Schedule I federally controlled substance.
